The Joker is a fictional character, a comic
book supervillain published by DC Comics
The original and currently dominant image
is of a highly intelligent psychopath with
a warped, sadistic sense of humor,
while other versions have placed varying
emphasis on humor, eccentricity, and pranks.

The Joker commits crimes with comedic
weapons such as a deck of bladed playing
cards, an acid-squirting flower,
cyanide-stuffed pies, exploding cigars filled
with nitroglycerin, harpoon guns that utilize
razor-sharp BANG!-flags,
and lethally electric joy buzzers.
His most prominent weapon is his Joker
venom, a deadly poison that infects his
victims with a ghoulish rictus grin as they
die while laughing uncontrollably.
